**Salary: Grade S6 from: £32,270 to £34,010 (inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £36,822 per annum inclusive of London Weighting**

Brunel University London was established in 1966 and is a leading multidisciplinary research-intensive technology university delivering economic, social and cultural benefits.

The appointees will join the Department of Social and Political Sciences. This is a thriving interdisciplinary department, which includes Politics, Modern History, Sociology & Communications, Anthropology and Journalism. The Metropolitan Police degree apprenticeship and degree holder programmes, and the new Criminology degree sit in this department.

Brunel University are part of a consortium delivering the College of Policing, Police Education Qualification Framework (PEQF), Integrated Police Constable Degree Apprenticeships (PCDA) for the Metropolitan Police. These new IEPA positions are designed to play a key role in the supporting, coaching, mentoring and assessing 3rd year students undertaking the PCDA, through the Apprenticeship End Point Assessment process. Coaches and Mentors will not be assessing any student who they coach and mentor.

The successful applicant will be drawing on their own prior or existing professional knowledge and experience in policing.

The appointee will have their permanent base at Brunel University, although the work will be predominantly home-based, with the majority of their work being undertaken through internet-based solutions. Holders of this position will however need a full UK driving licence and will be required to supply their own vehicle, and / or be able to use public transport for travel in relation to the role, including attending Brunel University, Consortium Partners and Metropolitan Police sites.

Successful applicants will be appointed as Independent End Point Assessors (IEPAs). Applicants will have recent Professional experience in or with the operational side of policing (including teaching). Opportunities will exist for professional development in obtaining relevant qualifications and Continual Professional Development (CPD) where necessary. Although not essential an undergraduate degree and or/ a post-graduate qualification would be an asset to the post holder, and support will be provided for those who wish to develop their academic profile in this area.
