Flexographic Printer

Situated on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford, we employ over 95 members of staff and currently operate five printing presses as well as six extruders and four slitters.

There is a vacancy in our factory for a Flexographic Printer. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role will entail working as part of a team to ensure the high-quality printing of plastic polythene and paper on our flexographic presses.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Setting up and running your own machine (with the help of a print assistant)
- Checking for possible defects in print quality whilst the press is running and when the product is finished.
- Highlighting any QC issues to the Production Manager
- Ensuring all standard operating procedures are adhered to and reporting any safety incidents
- Completing daily inspections of your press and reporting any potential maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department
- Ensuring the press speeds are always optimised
- Dealing with inks and solvents
- Manual labour
- Ensuring effective shift handover is carried out

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous experience of working as a flexographic printer is preferable
- Excellent communication & numerical skills
- Ability to use own initiative & good organisational skills
- Ability to manage and deal with change in a fast moving and demanding environment whilst still maintaining standards set within the business
- Good attendance and time-keeping
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office would be beneficial
- A full UK driving licence and a valid FLT counter balance certificate are preferred

**JOB DETAILS**
- **Job type**: Full time, permanent, 40 hours per week with the option of overtime
- **Hours**: Monday
- Friday, 8 hour shifts on a rotating 3 shift pattern, including nights

- **Salary**: Rates to be discussed dependent on experience
