This is an opportunity for a skilled and experienced counsellor to join our team. You will be working in a supportive team environment where you can benefit from flexible working whilst supporting adults, children and young people before and after a bereavement by providing specialist psychological and counselling support.

The Bereavement Support Service is a specialist counselling service within Carmarthenshire, and the successful applicant will need to be willing to travel to sites within Carmarthenshire if required. We offer a blended model of engagement, that includes face-to-face, telephone and online support.

The applicant will require experience working autonomously within a team and have experience working in community settings, alongside having experience delivering counselling digitally.

The successful applicant will become an integral member of the team. We offer flexible working arrangements in return we ask for your flexibility in meeting service need. We provide high level of supervision and caseload management support in light of the complexities of supporting our clients through anticipatory grief and post bereavement. For continued professional development, we keep an eye on learning opportunities both in
- house and externally. You will be working within the Bereavement Support Service providing counselling to service users within Carmarthenshire, however you will need to be willing to work across the county of Carmarthenshire if required. You will expected to undertake assessments, alongside providing counselling support. You will be required to work autonomously as part of a team, alongside and in partnership with other Healthcare professionals and Services. This role requires a high degree of autonomous working while providing support within community settings, alongside hospital sites.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. **Four main hospitals**: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;
**Seven community hospitals**: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;
48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
