**Head of People UK (Global Talent & Reward)**

**Location: Manchester (Hybrid)**

**Salary - £55,000 per annum**

Cognition Learning Group is seeking an experienced innovative and energetic leader with proven experience of managing Peoples functions and leading on Talent and Reward initiatives.

As a fast-paced business, attracting, rewarding and retaining talent is key to our success and as such your experience and ability to drive talent strategy and devise new and innovative ways to attract new talent will be critical.

**What you will be doing**:

- Contributing to the development of a Group wide People Strategy for the business.
- Leading and managing a comprehensive human resources service in the UK and a range of group level projects.
- Playing a pivotal role in leading the UK People Management functions including leading and managing employee matters, compensation and benefits, reward, professional growth, communications and performance management as required.
- Supporting the UK management, advising on People Management best practice and company policy execution, taking a hands-on role in dealing with case work where necessary, and
- Leading on the development of group level projects and tools to improve employee attraction, retention and development including talent management and reward and recognition frameworks.
- Leading and managing activities in areas such as, but not limited to: Compensation and Benefits, Succession planning, Talent identification and acquisition.
- Working with senior management to plan succession, talent development and growth for the future.
- Developing and implementing creative and meaningful learning and development initiatives for all UK staff working closely with the Learning and Development Lead.
- Developing and implementing a new Graduate programme which enables the business to build talent from grassroots up.

**To be considered you will**:

- Experienced HR generalist and Talent and Reward specialist, preferably in complex multi-national corporate.
- Experience in dealing with highly intelligent and demanding internal customers, using well developed influence and diplomacy skills.
- Preferably has experience in dealing with unionised workforce and TUPE and is confident with addressing employment issues in this context.
- Preferably has experience with expatriate employment issues and deployment of international staff offshore.
- 3-4 years’ minimum experience gained in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline.
