Manufacturing Fitter

MAC International are the UK’s largest ISO certified independent manufacturer of bespoke static pressure washers which are produced at our North East headquarters in Darlington, Co Durham.

- Hot and cold static pressure washers
- Electrically heated static and mobile pressure washers
- Hot and cold mobile pressure washers
- Pedestrian and ride-on floor scrubber driers and sweepers
- Commercial wet and dry vacuum cleaners

Our ranges of statics and mobile machines are accredited with full CE certification.

**Purpose of Role**:
Due to the continued growth of the company, we are looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Fitter to work in all areas of our manufacturing process. Working Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

**Summary of Responsibilities**
- To undertake assembly tasks relating to the manufacture of our static pressure washer ranges
- Ensure quality standards are maintained within the build program
- Reduce waste and control traceability of components
- Complete job control paperwork
- Willingness to help in all areas of the operational environment
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- Experience of manual handling
- Understand how to use hand tools
- Ability to work to production deadlines
- Understand the need for good quality control, both self-assessed and across production in general
- Have good attention to detail
- Be methodical in approach to completing assigned tasks
- Must be a team worker
- Have knowledge of how a production environment works
- Have knowledge of the installation of pumps, motors and electronics
- NVQ Qualification in engineering and/or electric installation is preferred but not required

**Environmental Health & Safety**
- Have a basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace and the responsibilities of both employee and employer
- Ensure correct personal protective equipment is always used by all staff
- Maintain a very high standard of housekeeping
