Air Liquide UK is currently seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to fulfill an Operations Controller position within the Industrial Merchant Division.

You will report directly to the UK Senior Operations Controller and interface with many internal stakeholders including the wider finance teams (UK and Europe), local Commercial and Operations Managers, along with other key stakeholders within the organization.

**How you'll make an impact**:

- Provide a timely and complete monthly closing in collaboration with commercial and operational teams, together with supporting the Senior Operations Controller with monthly closing variance analysis and commentary
- Responsible for monthly management data consolidation into Air Liquide Group tools via SAP and IRIS, together with data validation
- Own and monitor monthly cost center reports, working closely with with cost center owners to ensure robust cost control and booking discipline
- Support Quarterly forecast and Annual Target setting process - including collection of data, synthesizing of data and acting as overall lead and coordinator for assigned portfolio
- Contribute to the preparation and ownership of management information, management reporting, flash reports, cashflow, forecasts, dashboards & KPIs - Adhoc reporting, modeling, forecasting and analytics
- Ensure business improvement initiatives are identified and evaluated versus alternative solutions, together with KPI reporting
- Act as a bridge between Finance Operations Control and supporting functions

**We'd love to hear from you if you have**:

- A financial background and experience in a similar role and having strong all-round finance experience is essential, together with analytical skills and an eye for the detail
- Knowledge of financial systems, SAP preferable, ability to use Microsoft &/or Google office packages to a high level of competence
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment and managing many stakeholders and priorities simultaneously
- BA/ BSc/Msc Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and/or training and education may be considered.
- ACCA/CIMA or working towards preferred
- Self-starter, self-motivated, independent, well-organized, good attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with ability to confidently present and communicate to management
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
- Effective team player who is comfortable working on their own with mínimal supervision
- Strong data analytics, experience of using Power BI and reporting tools, advanced Excel and data manipulation skills, would be great.
