**A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE KITCHEN PORTER AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL BLACKPOOL**
- What you'll be doing..._

Reporting to the Head Chef, you can expect your working day to include the following:

- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, which will include washing dishes, pots, pans and utensils, as well as cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors and equipment.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping and organising ingredients.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues to the Head Chef.
- Assist with the unloading and the correct storage of food and stock deliveries.
- Manage the disposal of kitchen waste and recycling, ensuring compliance with health safety regulations.

To succeed in the role of Kitchen Porter, you will need the following qualities and skills:

- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.

- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or similar role is preferred but not essential.
