We require a permanent part-time (18 hours per week) Driver / General Assistant in Catering whose primary role will be the delivery of hospitality around campus.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.

The role will be located on campus at Bangor.

The role requires flexibility to work daytimes/evenings and weekends, working 18 hours per week with ability to work extra hours as required.

Overview
- Main purpose to undertake individually or as a member of a team the delivery of food and beverages to a variety of locations across Bangor University campus.
- Driving a transit size van, this role includes the preparation of orders, loading and unloading of multiple deliveries per day.
- The post holder will be required to work flexible hours any 5 days per week, daytime evenings and weekends as required.
- Computer literate to access booking information and read daily delivery reports.

Purpose of the Job

The delivery of food and beverages to a variety of locations across Bangor University campus.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Driving a transit size van, this role includes the loading and unloading of multiple deliveries per day.
- Preparation of orders, basic beverage preparation.
- General cleaning and clearing with the operation of dish washer.
- The post holder will be required to work flexible hours any 5 days per week, daytime evenings and weekends as required.
- This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities and the post holder may be required to undertake other duties which fall within the grade of the job, in discussion with their manager.
- This job description will be reviewed regularly in the light of changing service requirements and any such changes will be discussed with the post holder.

**Responsibilities**:

- The post holder will be expected to participate in performance review and developmental activities.

Person Specification
- Essential:
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade D-G (incl. English & Maths) or have equivalent work experience.
- Good time management skills.
- Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people.
- Good computer skills with familiarity of using the Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel.
- Reliability, honesty and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Confident and friendly manner.
- The desire and ability to work as part of a team.
- The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
- Driving Licence.
- The post holder will be required to work evenings and weekends so it is essential you have a flexible approach to working hours.

Desirable:
- NVQ level 1 in hospitality.
