**About the role**:
We are extremely thrilled to announce that we are hiring a Driller Operator, to join our business in our client sites in South Wales. As driller operator you will drill blast holes according to Drilling Plan.

**What you will be doing**:

- Completes the daily drilling log with information such as hole angle, depth, azimuth, and any geological anomalies. Coordinates the movements of the drilling rig, maximizes drilling consumables, and performs routine maintenance on equipment.
- Ensures the removal of all waste material from the site and ensures edge protection is in place before the shot firing team arrives. Responsible for ensuring drilling is carried out within the timings and specifications defined by the customer and help with the blasts when needed.
- Interacts with customers on-site, identifies problems and opportunities, and ensures the conditions are suitable for detonation (site conditions, weather, and suitability of haul roads for the transportation of the drilling rig).
- Completes JSERA (Job Safety and Environmental Risk Assessment) reports and documents related to drilling activities.
- Participates in safety meetings (Tool box talk) and Defensive Driving and Safety Training courses as required do.

**What you will bring**:

- 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- NVQ qualification.
- Driving Licence.
- Responsible, good communication skills, organized, rigorous and professional.
