Due to the continuing expansion and demands of our customers, we are seeking a Data Quality Assistant to work as part of growing Operations team to manage catalogue and product content that is surfaced on marketplace portals.
Successful applicants will work as part of a dedicated data quality team and use established, powerful in-house tools to ensure new, and existing, product data and feeds are up to date and accurately maintained. Data quality is key, and it is essential to ensure high standards of product data integrity are maintained across all systems through various phases of the Data Management process. This role would be suitable for someone who is just starting out in their career and/ or has an interest in IT data and IT tech.

**Responsibilities**:
- Process IT catalogue data during the various stages of the internal Data Management process
- Performing quality checks to maintain high integrity of the data available to the user of IT online catalogue
- Support the data feed process from onboarding various frameworks to ongoing support and quality assurance
- Ensure incoming and outgoing data observes the client's quality standards, specifications and agreed rules
- Working with the vendor(s), data providers, and internal Purchasing department to manage any data changes required due to updates and revisions
- Responsible for checking records to ensure that the process runs smoothly and efficiently onto the next stage
- Become a data expert to provide assurance on data quality and accuracy
- Detect problems, collate issues for resolution, identify trends or risks
- Effectively communicate the results of the quality assurance monitoring to management
- Test software, systems, and workflows for errors and verification
- Maintain the confidentiality of all client documentation and data
- Any other existing or new tasks needed to meet the team’s responsibilities and objectives that are required to fulfil the role as and when required
**Key skills**:
- Comfortable with repetitive data tasks
- Attention to detail, diligent with a willingness to spend lengthy periods recording and checking data and identifying issues and discrepancies whilst maintaining accuracy
- Patient and an ability to work calmly under pressure
- Methodical but efficient; well organised
- Be proactive, confident to question when something does not seem right
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, in order to exchange information clearly and accurately
- Professional and mature working attitude
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, but also have the ability to work well within a small team
- Good decision-making skills and a desire to continuously improve
- Confident using Word and Excel and a willingness to learn other software and technologies

- Self-starter
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Logical and process driven
- Good communicator, articulate and precise
**Experience**:
- Experience with data management and data feed support would be beneficial
- Good level of data creation, transfer, manipulation and management would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided
- Previous experience in a similar role e.g. quality checking and/or data entry would be beneficial but is not essential
