**REASON FOR VACANCY**

Team expansion required due to an increase in projects

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**

Support Project Manager and team in the delivery of projects; including administration, co-ordination, planning, control, reporting, analysis and insight.

**REPORTING LINE**

Role reports into Head of PMO

**Key Responsibilities**

The PMO is responsible for:

- Enforcing a standardised set of project management documentation and templates across all projects.
- Maintenance of schedules and plans
- Financial monitoring
- Maintaining risks, actions, issues and change registers
- Supporting communication mechanisms
- Developing documentation
- Lead co-ordinator for use of Project SharePoint
- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Develop full scale project plans
- Co-ordinate the production of reports and packs to support governance by collating, analysing, evaluating and manipulating data, records and other information.
- Maintain libraries, registers and systems
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the projects to all stakeholders
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Project evaluations and assessment of result
- Ensure HSO Project Methodology is fully documented, used in all relevant pieces of work and understood and used by all the Consultants on the project
- ** Visibility**:

- Track basic information on the current status of all projects in the organisation and provide project visibility to management in a common and consistent manner.
- Production of reports; weekly risk reports, monthly detailed reports, timely generation of RAG reports
- Highlighting areas of concern as the need arises
- Production of monthly billing reports and liaison with finance department over the content
- ** Representation**:

- Act as an advocate for Project Management Office to the organisation.

**Qualifications**:
**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**
- Previous experience in a Project Office/IT department
- A high level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office Professional
- Pay attention to detail but be pragmatic
- Take ownership of tasks and complete promptly
- Be tenacious and act assertively
- The ability to work in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure
- Be a team player and develop good relationships with stakeholders
- High degree of self-motivation
- Ability to work to tight timescales
- Good communication and facilitation skills
- A good understanding of ERP software implementation project life cycles and methodologies
- Exposure to and use of project management methodologies and lifecycle (ability to hold meaningful conversations with PMs, including challenging where necessary).
- Experience of the full project life cycle.

**LOCATION**

A combination of working in the HSO Office in Manchester, customer sites (overnight stays may be required) and working from home.
