Buying Assistant

**Broadland Drinks Ltd (BDL)** are looking for a Buying Assistant to join our Procurement team to provide administrative support with day-to-day commercial activities associated with managing a global supplier base. To assist its retailer customers, Broadland Drinks are entering an exciting phase of innovation and brand launches. This job offers an excellent opportunity to support procurement in a growing international company.
**Our vision **- We aim to create drinks brands consumers love and to develop 5 - 6 Broadlands-owned brands across theUSA and UK, alongside our existing successful private label business.
**About the role**:
Reporting to our Head of Procurement, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Generating product costings at the request of our Sales and Marketing team.
- Take ownership and maintenance of the cost planning document.
- Book in and manage samples in conjunction with the Wine Buyer.
- Monitor and collate monthly spend and volume data. To assist in the resolution of any QC NCRs or general supplier failure points.
- Support with monthly reporting and supplier monitoring.
- Assist with generation of product costings within Excel spreadsheets to capture all cost elements and to assist with finalising final selling prices.
- Liaise with suppliers, ensuring all required paperwork, due diligence and quality documents are completed and returned.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments.
**About You**:
**You will have strong evidence of the following key skills & competencies**:
- Previous experience working within a commercial environment.
- Previous commercial purchasing experience.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Team player who can demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience of working to deadlines.
- Proactive and enthusiastic, motivated, willing to learn all aspects of the business.
- Positive and confident, with a “can do” attitude.
- Knowledge of the wine industry would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of HMRC rules on import and export would be an advantage.

- Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days at our winery in Cawston, Norfolk.
