Huddersfield, United Kingdom South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Working in EIP is different every day and demands the ability to be recovery orientated, show patience and be able to assertively engage with a vulnerable client group who are experiencing psychosis for the first time or felt to be at risk of developing a psychotic illness.

Typically, the team works with people age 18-35 but stretches to provide care and treatment for people aged 14-65 years. As an EIP Practitioner you will be responsible for managing a caseload of 15 service users under the Care Programme Approach and act as a care coordinator.

Alongside managing the care of service users, you will support the team by acting as a duty worker and complete initial assessments for those people referred to the service.

The team operates as a multi-Disciplinary team with a staff compliment including psychiatrists, Occupational Therapy, Mental health nurses and social workers, recovery workers, peer workers and Therapists.

The team work hard to break down barriers of poor social inclusion and aim to empower service users to engage collaboratively in their care and treatment options.

Additional training and support is available in house and we have an excellent supervision stricture. We work in a hybrid model of being based at the office, working from home, seeing service users in their own homes or local community. The team has an extensive social inclusion timetable where groups are provided to reduce social inclusion and increase engagement with the service.
