TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic chartered accountancy practice in Sittingbourne who are undergoing phenomenal Growth. This multi-sited firm of chartered accountants is looking for a Management Accountant to look after their internal finances. You will work among an experienced team, reporting into the Financial Controller in a mixed position covering management accounts, bookkeeping, tax, VAT and supporting with internal audit too. Full training and support will be provided for areas you’re unfamiliar with. You will be responsible for a handful of offices within the group, supporting them with their monthly accounts and supporting the FC with change management and improving processes and efficiencies within the team.
- Continue to develop the internal reporting framework to deliver the business needs.
- Actively encouraged to enhance and develop new working methods and processes for Management accounts reporting.
- Liaising with the existing administrative and support team to ensure finance tasks are run at optimum level whilst meeting monthly deadlines.
- Undertake VAT returns for all assigned offices in accordance with statutory deadlines.
- Provide and confirm monthly intercompany balances for confirmation with other intercompany partners.
- Timely production and maintenance of regional offices’ working paper reconciliations for month end.
- Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals and prepayments.
- Ownership of the fixed assets register.
- Review of P&L to ensure compliance with group finance policy including variance commentary.
- Review of balance sheets to ensure compliance with group finance policies, including regular review of key balance sheet reconciliations as set out by Group finance.
- Uploading all supporting documentation to Xero Working Paper Pack within Group deadline.
- Support, where possible, staff cover arrangements for the management accounts team.
- Ensure all statutory payments (Corporation Tax, PAYE & VAT) are made in a timely manner.

**Requirements**:

- AAT qualified desirable
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate Excel user
- Good analytical skills
- Experience of using Xero is desirable
