The Research and Development teams strive to create market leading products in our heritage of tea and health and wellbeing beverages. Our sensory panellists are an integral part in safeguarding our brand and designing new products that exceed the expectations of our customers.
**Please Note**:This role is an initial 12 month fixed term contract, part time role - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9.30am-1.30pm and is based at Twinings HQ in Andover. The role will be site-based.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Taste and evaluate a range of beverage products (relating to taste, appearance, texture, and smell) using a clearly defined vocabulary both individually and within a team
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with other panellists and panel leader, identifying and describing sensory characteristics
- Participate in product and sensory attribute training and assessments
- Willingness to taste and try new flavours and inventive products
**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
- No experience necessary
- Strong vocabulary & basic numeracy skills
- Thrives working as part of a team, enjoys engaging and motivating others.
- Ability to work independently and be fully focused during product assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, articulate and able to describe taste experiences and sensations in good detail.
- Willingness to learn and cement learnings to build own mastery.
- Adheres to standard operating practices
- Good attention to detail especially when it comes to sensory attributes
- A firm grasp of the English language
- Working knowledge of IT systems such as MS Office and Teams
