Job Title: Transport Administrator
Reporting to: Transport Team Lead
Location: Cranford Road
Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week flexible hours between 07:00 and 18:00 - You are also required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties or that may be required to fulfil role.
**BENNIE HAULAGE SUMMARY**:
Bennie Haulage provides haulage and transport services for both the construction and equipment sectors. Our fleet of 8-wheel tipper trucks, low loaders and crane lorries available for bulk haulage, muck away, and plant & machine transport across the UK.
Our heritage in haulage dates back decades to a time when Bennie used to run in excess of 50 tippers across Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas. Our fleet of modern vehicles are available to meet all customer requirements.

**JOB ROLE**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Raising and Managing Purchase Orders in line with Group Processes.
- Managing incoming enquiries and communicating with new and potential clients.
- Making and answering telephone calls in a professional manner.
- Scanning and storing transport documentation correctly.
- Liaising with the Transport Team Lead to generate new leads.
- Supporting the Transport Team Lead in vehicle scheduling.
- Working with other Group businesses on their haulage and transport requirements.
The above list of responsibilities is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post. As well as other duties relevant to your experience.
**COMPETENCIES**
- A business studies qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of working in a customer focused role, with professional customer service skills remaining calm in challenging situations.
- Confident on the phone, and speaking to a variety of people.
- Strong communication skills and able to work within an office-based team.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook and Sage200.
- Superb work attitude with a confident and determined approach.
- Have self-motivation and drive ability to work un-supervised and under pressure.
- Good competitive streak.
- Proven fast learner with adaptability to change.
- Great initiative and a self-starter.
- Previous experience in a transport environment would be desirable.
