An exciting opportuinity has arisen to join the respiratory lab at Liverpool University Hospital (Aintree Site). The postholder will be employed on annex 21 of a NHS band 6 pay scale while undergoing three year of in house training at the respiratory lab in conjunction with attending Manchester Metropolition University in achieving the BSc in clinical physiology. Leading to qualification as a respiratory physiologist.

The apprenticeship post would be desirable to Respiratory Physiology ATO's and associate practitioners looking for career progression.

To learn and become an independent practitioner in spirometry, reversibility testing, full studies, respiratory muscle pressures and challenge testing.

The respiratory lab at Aintree is a well equiped respiratory physiology lab with modern facilities and a forward thinking outlook.

To attend MMU and complete in house training to meet PTP standards leading to registration with the ACHS as a respiratory physiologist. Experience of PFT's would be desirable as an experience of diagnostic NHS practices.
