Are you a strong player in the world of Underwriting, with prior experience in Insurance? Are you looking to broaden your Underwriting skillset further? If so, we are working on a fantastic opportunity with a global Insurance Brand to source them an Underwriter as soon as possible. Interested in learning more?

This position is based in the firm’s Leeds offices, offering a hybrid-working model and strong growth progressions within the Firm. You will responsible for providing and maintaining a high level of underwriting, ensuring risks are underwritten and that the business’s brokers are supported through excellent timekeeping on various renewals and mid-term adjustments. You will be regularly handling renewal cases, working as appropriate with the broker to ensure and cross-sell any additional relevant cover, as well as meeting with the wider Underwriting side of the business to provide your own insight on key market trends. A truly varied role with great career path potential.

Some responsibilities will include:

- Providing a high level of underwriting, understanding company procedures and guidelines in doing so
- Building strong rapport within the Technical team in Leeds, as well as the wider business
- Following up renewals and adjustments with brokers in order to ensure business is secured
- Utilising strong IT skills to adjust to new platforms, including our broker e-trading platform

The right person for this role will have demonstrable experience in the Underwriting space, with relevant Insurance underwriting experience. What will be particularly advantageous in this role is a prior background in our particular classes of business, though this is not essential. Strong written, communication and numerical skills will also be of benefit. They will need to have a thorough understanding of regulations and methods.
