Head of Financial Reporting - Portishead, Bristol - Permanent - £70,000-£75,000
ARM are delighted to be working with a community based social housing provider operating in the West of England.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements.
- Lead the external financial audit.
- Responsible for the annual financial reporting obligations.
- Ensuring all statutory, regulatory, and legally required returns are completed and submitted.
- Responsible for ongoing monitoring and benchmarking of Value for Money metrics.
- Lead and develop effective benchmarking activities.
- Responsible for the accounting treatment of investment properties.
- Provide technical advice and guidance across the business, providing information to enable strategic decision making.
- Management of the accounting policies, including advising Senior Leadership Team and the Audit and Risk.
- Management of VAT, Tax and CIS activities, including the preparation and submission of all tax returns.
- Management of Purchase to Pay activities, ensuring payments to suppliers are timely and accurate.
**Requirements**:

- A qualified CCAB accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAS) with 2 years post qualification experience.
- Experience of leading a year-end financial audit, and have a strong understanding of the audit process.
- Demonstrable experience of preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Advanced level Excel skills.
- Experience of designing and implementing financial controls.
- Be able to understand and interpret data.
- Be proactive in finding solutions to problems and issues.
- Good working knowledge of IT, competent with Microsoft Office packages.
- Good team management skills in an agile working environment.
- Evidence of continuing professional development
