There will be the opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the Art & Design General Foundation, particularly its alignment with three dimensional practice.

This post, although Teaching & Scholarship, offers the opportunity to further develop existing research/scholarship themes or create new fields and strengthen existing or develop new collaborations.

Your priorities will include:

- Actively pursuing and developing a scholarship agenda
- Play an active role in the organisation, preparation and delivery of modules within Art & Design General Foundation. You will contribute to course delivery and work as part of a staff team who deliver collectively across the Art & Design General Foundation modules.
- Provide high quality constructive feedback and advice to students, including providing regular written feedback.
- Play an active part in the Quality Assurance procedures associated with undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and in periodic quality reviews associated with these programmes.
- Contribute to the strategic development of undergraduate teaching and initiatives in Art & Design General Foundation to ensure the course remains relevant and innovative.

Who we’re looking for:

- Extensive knowledge of theory and practice in Art & Design, with specific emphasis on three dimensional making aligned to Jewellery & Metal Design Practice.
- Experience of teaching in a Higher Education environment at undergraduate level and knowledge of the specific needs associated with Level 1 students.
- Ability to lead workshops and demonstrate skills appropriate to Jewellery & Metal Design practice.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills enabling the development of effective working relationships with students and colleagues.
- Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to adjust priorities in the face of competing demands and tight deadlines.
