**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Forecasting and ordering raw materials to meet production and ultimately shipping requirements.
- Managing the workflow for each operation with flexibility to accommodate unforeseen situations.
- Management of raw materials stock, ensuring optimal stock levels and prevention of slow moving stock.
- Management of finished goods stock, ensuring optimal stock levels and prevention of slow moving stock.
- Arranging the daily delivery materials schedule with the appropriate vendors.
- Working with procurement to ensure all non-conformance events from vendors are managed as per the correct procedure in a timely manner with replacement materials and production planning changes managed as required.
- Assisting the wider team where required with stock taking and other related procedures.
- Analysing plant capacity data in order to produce a logical and effective production plan.
- Attending and chairing planning meetings where required.

**Person Specification**

**Essential requirements**
- Effective time management, prioritising and multi-tasking skills
- MS office skills in Outlook, Word, Excel
- Able to think logically and methodically
- A natural problem solver, able to find solutions outside of the status quo
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Flexible approach managing work within specific deadlines
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel UK wide as required with occasional travel to sister sites with overnight stays where required.

**Desirable Requirements**
- Experience of working in a BRC approved facility.
- Experience of working in the packaging industry
- Able to travel to all UK sites to ensure full cross functional engagement on projects.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
