**Technical Designer**

A new and exciting opportunity to join a unique and coveted business creating exceptional objects, operating at the highest level in the market. We're looking for a skilled technical designer to cement themselves within our team as we build on established global relationships, for the most prestigious residential and super yacht projects around the world.

**About the Role**
Joining a small team of young and dynamic designers and project managers, in an idyllic setting in the beautiful Dorset countryside, 20 minutes away from the stunning Jurassic coast and the artistic and vibrant market town of Bridport. You will be responsible for the design and development of completely bespoke and truly unique furniture.

You’ll be the starting point, using your skills and knowledge to create 2D and 3D drawings for our expert makers to follow so you’ll need a keen eye for detail.
You’ll have a hand in everything from conception to completion, working with all departments at
Little Halstock you’ll need to be adaptive and personable, taking on board suggestions/instructions and working to deadlines. Ideally, you’ll be able to manage the projects you’re working on, ensuring everything from procurement to scheduling is brought in on budget and on time.
You’ll be working with some of the best interior designers of the modern day helping to bring their ideas to life so a good communication and strong organisational skills are a must.
You may also have the opportunity to develop these relationships and help forge new ones with events, showcases, workshop visits and trips to site, both nationally and internationally.

**Requirements**:

- Enthusiasm for dealing with clients/designers/architects/project managers and taking key or leading roles in running live projects.
- Critical time management skills.
- Interpersonal skills, working with colleagues, clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, logistics etc.
- Technical and engineering understanding is critical with an acute eye for detail.
- Ability to take instruction and learn as part of a team.
- Driving Licence as we work nationally, and internationally to provide the best service to our clients possible.

**Advantages**:

- Experience of luxury furniture, upholstered FFE & creative projects
- Experience in yacht interiors
- Experience with Adobe suite, in particular Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
- Understanding of digital manufacturing including laser cutting & CNC machining
- A good commercial understanding of business, and manufacturing in general
- Some Project Management Experience
- Bilingual applicants an advantage due to international projects
