**The Role**

**Person specification**

We’re looking for a Senior Billing and Revenue Assurance Manager to help us deliver clear, accurate and effective billing and payment solutions for our customers. In this role you will make a positive contribution to the company cashflows, ensuring that we have robust processes for cash collection to minimise bad debt in our customer base. We’re looking for fresh ideas and innovation that will drive how we interact with customers whilst delivering performance, and industry compliance. Like a lot of other businesses, we also like results, so we’d like you to tell us how effective our billing and cash collection is.

**Key skills we’d like you to have**:

- Teamwork is important so you must communicate effectively and build strong relationships with all stakeholders. Ability to deliver an excellent customer experience through accurate and timely monthly billing. Handle customer queries quickly and efficiently to mutual satisfaction. Have a proven track record in Billing and Revenue Assurance as an existing “Head of” or demonstrate you’re ready for the next step. You will be a confident individual who takes ownership and delivers results.** **
**We’d like someone who can do the following**:

- Full operational management of customer billing and cash collection. Stay up to date and advise on industry obligations, best practices, new trends in the areas of billing and revenue assurance. Develop robust cash collection across our customer base for B2C and B2B customers. Develop effective reporting on customer invoicing, aged debt performance, KPI performance which will feed into associated scorecards and management information. Lead on operational excellence activities in relation to customer billing and cash collection ensuring that your pioneer a digital first customer experience. Ensure that the operation billing software is up to date with all B2C and B2B packages and that the billing frequency reflects the customer account billing cycles. Own the credit risk analysis and measures for the business, ensuring that we protect the business from bad debt. Support the finance team with timely month end requirements to report on customer revenue. Ensuring that the billing and payment processes are compliant with OFCOM general code.
**Qualifications and experience we’d like to see**:

- At least 3-4 years’ experience of working in an operational billing and revenue assurance role in the telecoms or utilities sector. Experience of working in a start-up business and the challenge and reward it brings would be an advantage. ISP experience and knowledge of the OFCOM general code would be an advantage. Strong process and finance controls, with the ability to implement tactical and strategic solutions. Functional experience in systems and process engineering.
