**Practice Accountant**
**Location**: Swiss Cottage, London
**Salary**: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE
**Contract**: Full time, permanent

We’re looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Swiss Cottage & Shepherds Bush. Located in our shop front offices this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual with recent practice experience to join an ambitious, growing firm.
**Practice Accountant -**The key duties of the post are as follows**:

- Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries
- Oversee the preparation of Tax Returns and Statutory Accounts for companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Assist the bookkeeping team with preparatory work for the aforementioned
- Ensure that all regulatory checks are in place
- Meet with clients on a regular basis to assist with tax planning and moving their business forward
- Plus, other duties consistent with the grade as required
- Team player with a friendly and positive attitude
- Able to prioritise workloads and adhere to strict deadlines
- Previous experience of working within an Accountancy Practice managing a portfolio of clients
- Proficient in using QuickBooks, Xero and Excel - knowledge of other software such as TaxCalc would also be beneficial
- Process driven and able to understand & implement procedures
- Able to prepare accounts and tax computations for clients across a variety of industries
- Demonstrable commercial acumen
- Be able to build and maintain rapport with clients
- Excellent communication skills
