DMP is looking for a results-driven and confident Production Planner who has at least 2 years of production management or supply chain experience and is able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.

The successful person will be organised with a robust problem-solving capability and can accurately communicate information to internal and external stakeholders with maximum clarity.

**Key duties for the Production Planner will include**:

- coordinating production workflow across specified product lines.
- prioritising operations and/or jobs to meet the key requirements of internal and external customers.
- assisting the Production Supervisor to determine and generate the resource planning requirements for your plan.
- assigning jobs to key production areas of the business - monitoring these in-process jobs for on-time completion.
- assessing the material requirement for job launch and completion, making sure all materials have been purchased in line with your plan.
- determining manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
- generating and controlling planning KPIs - such as OTIF, quality defect %, and productivity reports.
- chairing the regular morning production meeting along with the Production Supervisor.

**Essential Skills**:

- Engineering knowledge and background with a good process understanding of Laser, Bending, Mig, & CNC Machining
- Capacity planning and resource planning knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- 2+ years' experience in a similar planning role
- Experience using ERP & MRP systems

**Desirable Skills**:

- Engineering qualification - preferably BEng
- Logistics experience
- Team management and leadership experience
- Epicor ERP experience is desirable, similar system experience welcome e.g., SAP, Oracle etc.
