**Full Job Description**
The role is situated in the Highway Operations Team within the Highways & Transport Service. As part of a small team it provides a network coordination function across the two areas. The role is a critical part of the Highway Authorities’ discharging of their Network Management Duty - managing permitting and other licensing matters, negotiating with works promoters to ensure disruption to the network is minimised.
**Roles and responsibilities**:
- Works with colleagues to deal effectively and tactfully with customer complaints and reports about issues concerning the public highway environment ensuring that all matters are investigated and dealt with in an appropriate manner.
- Works with colleagues across the service area to deliver excellent service: ensuring a clean, green and safe local street environment which can be enjoyed by its residents, businesses, visitors and customers
- Ensures that all works and events on the highway are undertaken in an approved manner and that any breaches are addressed through the correct procedures
**Experience & Requirements**:
- Experience on street works systems, Street Manger and Mayrise ideally.
- Relevant technical qualification, e.g., HND/HNC/Degree or significant equivalent experience.
- The role will be coordinating in the Kingston borough mainly working from home but will need to be able to come into the office a couple of times a week, it will never be any more than that, occasionally it’ll be just the one day in the office.
