**Job description**:
The Matrix Programme is a transformation initiative involving the Cabinet Office, Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy, Department for Culture Media and Sport, Department for Education, Department for Health and Social Care, Department for International Trade, Attorney’s General Office, and HM Treasury. It is a unique cross-government collaboration that will unlock simpler, better, and more joined up working by bringing together the systems, processes, and ways of working for key government functions such as HR, Finance and Procurement, commonly known as Shared Services.

The Programme is part of the Shared Services Team, a fantastic team enthusiastic about improving the existing shared services experience for DSIT and its partners whilst working to deliver the strategic objectives of the new Government Shared Services Strategy

We will deliver the Government's three overarching objectives for shared services:
1. Better experience for all users - intuitive systems that are easy to use and mobile-enabled.

2. Efficiency and value for money - better systems and services which support productivity and seek to reduce costs.

3. Standardised processes and data - support interoperability, making it easier to understand and compare corporate data.

We are currently seeking two roles in our team, one as Governance manager and the other as Assurance manager with the opportunity to work across both.

**Governance** - Work with senior roles to draft board agendas, keep log of board decisions and owners, work with decision owners to provide report updates, analysis of data and presentation at various Matrix boards. Ensure appropriate governance arrangements for effective running of the Programme, with escalation routes and accountabilities made clear.

**Assurance** - Develop and maintain documents and processes that enable the independent assessment and confirmation that the programme is on track.

**Monitoring** - Manage project/programme controls, reporting to different stakeholders about project/programme stat
