Hydraulic and Engineering Services Ltd is a versatile medium/heavy engineering company specialising in the repair, supply and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders and associated hydraulic equipment

We also undertake all general engineering and manufacturing as well as reclamation repairs.

Our engineering team cover a range of disciplines including diagnostic work, new installations, removal and re-installations of components, upgrades, renewals, hose replacement service, and system monitoring.

We are a privately owned company operating within our 30th year with a wealth of experience

We are looking to employ an experienced qualified time served Machinist, primarily to operate Centre Lathes, Milling Machines in order to produce a variety of different components.

**Hours of Work**:
Basic 40hr week

Starting salary circa **£28,000 - £30,000** depending on experience

Overtime on an as and when basis paid at 1.5 x and 2x hourly rate

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- You will be responsible for manufacturing parts to pattern or correctly to drawing.
- Reclaiming damaged parts and making good.
- Completing appropriate documentation.
- Complete all necessary reports and inspections as required.

**The person we are looking for**:

- City and Guilds, Or NVQ Equivalent in Machining
- Experience working manual milling machines and centre lathes
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of CNC manufacture (advantageous)
- Good grasp of the English language (verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Committed to safety
- Willingness to work extra hours

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
