Our Client is a leading provider of IT-managed services, onsite support, and field engineering to the Education sector with a growing portfolio of public and private schools, multi-academy trusts, colleges, and universities. Following continued growth, contractwins and a number of new build school projects in the pipeline they are looking to hire an Infrastructure Project Engineer.

As Infrastructure Project Engineer to join their Project Services Department to provide design and delivery solutions for all their server, storage, network, wireless and security projects ensuring they meet our educational and commercial customers’ requirements.This includes project management, technical presales, audit, and scoping, producing design documentation, resource allocation, remote and on-site installations, and configuration, user acceptance testing, project sign-off, and third-line support services.

You will need to provide certain technical pre-sales services for new projects and carry out support project and sales processes. As well as project delivery including remote and on-site installation and configuration. As an Infrastructure Project Engineer,you are also required to provide third-line support services directly to clients and as an escalation point from the support desk.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide technical pre-sales services for new projects/opportunities
- Carry out technical consultancy and audit services as required
- Produce technical design documentation to support project and sales processes
- Project delivery including remote and on-site installation and configuration
- Provide third-line support services directly to clients and as an escalation point from the support desk
- Assist with the assessment and development of new products and services
- Provide a professional and courteous service at all times

**Skills and Experience**
- Deploying and supporting IT Infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, and LAN/WLAN network devices
- Windows Server 2016/2019, Hyper-V, SCCM
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- Backup and recovery systems in a virtualized environment
- Network authentication, e.g., Radius
- Configuration and troubleshooting of security devices such as Firewalls and Web filters
- Carrying out customer site surveys/audits and producing required outputs and design documentation
- Producing and implementing complex configurations
- Able to evaluate and solve complex problems, analyze situations accurately and adopt practical actions to the point of resolution
- Working within an MSP environment and in a pre-sales capacity presales.
- HPE Server and Storage hardware solutions
- Aruba switching and wireless technologies and management platforms; Aruba AirWave & Aruba Central
- VEEAM backup solutions
- Smoothwall appliances

**Salary**:£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
