The post holder will share the responsibility of identifying and recommending courses of action to support the success of projects and programme, to establish clear planning, risk, issue and financial management and accountability arrangements.

The post holder is responsible for providing professional expertise around planning, dependencies and associated impact of change. They will lead and work alongside departmental teams working to understand and address user need ensuring successful and beneficial changes to their working practices.

The post holder will be competent with technology-enabled service re-design and service transformation. Experience of working with agile methodologies will be an advantage.
- To operate as a key member of the Group Digital Transformation and Innovation senior management team which oversees the effective delivery of programmes within digital transformation and innovation within the Group
- Develop, lead and manage the delivery of programmes associated with the Group Digital Strategy, which includes a number of projects or initiatives of significant size, complexity and risk ensuring that they do not have an adverse impact on patient care and quality
- Support the alignment of digital programmes with Group and wider Integrated Care System (ICS) priorities and strategies - ensuring digital contributes to a cohesive ICS transformational picture
- Continuous improvement and sustained delivery of high-quality services within the Group
- Promote adoption of agile methodologies across project teams and in the wider Group
- Responsible for reporting on programme performance including, risk escalation, management and financial control
- Responsible in developing business justifications, business cases and project artefacts in collaboration with Business Unit operational teams, working to principles of Minimum Viable Bureaucracy.

We have recently formed the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group, bringing together the constituent organisations of Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. We have agreed an ambitious Group Strategy ‘Dedicated to Excellence’ which sets out our strategic ambitions and priorities for the next five years. We have also launched our Group Digital Strategy, which sets out our ambitions over next three years to become the most digital hospital in England. Across our Digital portfolio we are working to the following principles:

- Responsible for the management of programme: milestone delivery, interdependency of deliverables, risks and issue and mitigations, change and configuration
- Responsible in ensuring every project within programmes team has an appropriately scoped project plan with clear roles, responsibilities accountabilities, timescales for delivery and benefits realisation metrics against which delivery can be monitored.
- Proactively manage changes in programme scope, identify potential crisis and devise contingency plans in conjunction with appropriate colleagues.
- Developing and providing key operational management data and programme reports, for review and use by the necessary Programme Board
- Lead and manage development of programme assurance processes, governance and standards
- Where appropriate prepare, conduct and lead internal Gateway Reviews which will involve the analysis, interpretation and judgement of highly complex information.
- To foster a culture that values respect, teamwork and excellence in all aspects of the delivery of patient care.
- To develop a working environment where all staff within the team are empowered and when necessary raise concerns.
- To ensure all staff within the service function are annually appraised, have their development needs identified and have a personal development plan.
- To support the development of a performance-based culture within the organisation through personal advocacy and leadership behaviour.
