**What are we looking for?**

As a Family Hub Well-being Outreach Champion, you will predominately work with and support new and expectant parents/carers in promoting good overall emotional health and wellbeing and positive infant/parent relationships as part of the Walsall Family Hub Programme, ensuring parents/carers are supported at the earliest opportunity by the Family Hub team and/or are seamlessly connected to all services available at a community level.

**About the job**
- Promote and support a positive ethos around emotional wellbeing and champion equity as part of the family hub perinatal and parents-infant relationships.
- Support parents and carers to increase their awareness and understanding of emotional wellbeing and perinatal mental health.
- Provide peer support to parents with mild health difficulties via one-to-one support or group support for parents experiencing mild anxiety or low mood which subsequently impacts the parent/infant relationship.
- Deliver evidenced based interventions, both universal and targeted for parents/carers of children 0-5 yrs.
- Ensuring the peer-to-peer support extends to fathers, co-parents and wider carers.
- Provide one to one support, advice, guidance and help to navigate/signpost and secure services that are available within the local communities.
- Work with key stakeholders to promote services available increasing awareness.
- Work creatively with diverse communities, build trusting relationships to support parents.
- Support parents to support each other, overcome difficulties in relationships and build on existing parenting strengths.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers and the wider Family Hub partners and stakeholders.
- To work alongside and support the Champion Lead to further develop the service area.
- To work alongside the feeding and parent panel Family Hub Team.
- Complete low-level assessments to help deliver intervention and support or signpost to appropriate services.
- To commit to the co-production agenda and to participate in co-production activities.
- To maintain accurate records
