On behalf of my client - a well-established, award-winning international commercial law firm, which has wide range of specialists’ sectors i.e., international trade, insurance, education, public sector and banking etc I am looking for Business DevelopmentManager.
The purpose of the role is to build a strong relationship with all fee earners as well as identify and convert leads and prospects, whilst devising imaginative programmes to differentiate the firm and chosen markets. To be successful, the Business DevelopmentManager will need to draw on specialist skills from within the Business Development and Marketing (BD&M) team and other parts of the firm, co-ordinating these individuals so the fee earners receive a single point of liaison and a ‘joined up’ service and delivery.
- Min 3 years of experience in managing accounts (required)
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Qualifications or degree (or equivalent) in Business/Marketing together with evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines
- Demonstrable track record of building strong and sustainable relationships in a professional environment
- Proven experience with CRM and target plans
- Demonstrable numeracy and forecasting skills
- Strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders
- Flexibility in approach and willingness to work outside normal office hours if needed
- Drive to grow the business, while making personal mark on the role
- Agenda setter and executor with strong communication and interpersonal skills

**Key responsibilities**:

- Key point of contact for Business Group - provide structure and visibility across BG on activity planned/delivered, enabling a joined-up approach across team
- Manage/support partners with monitoring and delivery of BG marketing budget
- Project manage and co-ordinate BG activity - events, campaigns and bid support
- Facilitate the execution of plans through communicating with wider team - effective delegation
- Plan and implement business development opportunities
- Support client development by drive and support the implementation of the CRM system
- Contribute to the business development and bid pipeline of activity
- Assist fee earners with maximising generation of leads from existing contacts, intermediaries, and other relationships
- Analyse the market and identify new client development opportunities and promote cross-selling of other services
- Plan and implement new client relationship programmes to develop firm brand and enhance its reputation
- Report progress against plans, communicate effectively and regularly with key stakeholders to manage expectation and gain input as appropriate to ensure progress against defined KPIs
