Hotel Receptionist

The Compleat Angler is our luxury Hotel based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. We have a fantastic opportunity for a real people's person to join the team as a full time member of the reception team.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Have an operational knowledge of all reception services and procedures, together with reservations systems and switchboard.
- Liaise with reservations, for the transfer and acceptance of all bookings. Check that room allocation and up-grades are conducted competently, with particular regard to corporate and regular guests, special customer requests, VIP visitors, etc.
- Promote active room stock management, attaining maximum revenue, occupancy and room rates. Optimise on chance and on-the-day enquiries/bookings. Promote company referral/onward bookings, together with the hotel's other services and facilities, (e.g. restaurant bookings).
- Ensure that all guest arrival and departure administrative functions are carried out correctly, especially the continual maintenance of guest rooming lists, for use during any evacuation emergency
- Provide general customer information, message acceptance/transmission and offer assistance and help at all times.
- Deal with customer complaints/compliments and make compensatory allowances within agreed function limits.
- Check that all postings, bills, accounts, cash and credit transactions, floats, adjustments, allowances, balancing and hand-over procedures are implemented proficiently.

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
