Trainee Flooring Installer

Trainee floor layer required for a local independent flooring showroom based around Totnes and the South Hams.
Working alongside an experienced floor installation team, you will be taught all aspects of installing various floor types.
Responsibilities will include:
- General housekeeping duties, keeping site and work vehicle clean and tidy
- Lifting and carrying of flooring
- Moving of furniture to aid installation
- Use of hand and power tools
- Installation of laminate flooring, engineered oak, LVT and carpet
- Sub-floor preparation, including ply boarding and screeding
All tools and PPE will be provided as well as Full training.
No experience is required however we are looking for honest and reliable people to join our successful growing business, with excellent time keeping and an eagerness to learn.
Rates negotiable dependent on age, qualifications, experience etc.
Pay increases will be awarded on a six monthly basis and are totally governed by progress.
Driving licence not required, but preferable.
Due to the nature of the job, a DBS check will be carried out.
