About us

We're the Data Transfer and Management Services Lab building and managing the future centralised digital nervous system, using the power of our existing batch technologies centred on IBM's Infosphere DataStage stack, alongside our emerging cloud strategy and streaming analytics capability to get closer to our customers. All this is underpinned by excellent Data Management delivery through the latest industry tooling and strong governance practises.

This will be the backbone of our Event data processing hub. Our goal is, within the confines of strong governance, to democratise Lloyds Bank's dataset. We're currently supporting 1'000's of processes across the Bank, acting as the Enterprise Data Integration and Management function within the Bank for Retail, Risk, Fraud, Customer insight, Commercial and Corporate.

We use the latest tools and techniques to build data that will enable the bank of the future, working collaboratively with Value Streams who provide the opportunities to deliver data solutions to meet Enterprise Data’s key strategic goals, as well as working with the other service labs within Enterprise Data. The next phase of our transformation is moving more into streaming of data and cloud technologies underpinned again through Data Management tools and techniques to meet data needs and our team will be right at the heart of that transformation

**Location**:
As part of the Enterprise Data & Machine Learning Value Stream as part of the Enterprise Data & Machine Learning Value Stream the role is based in Bristol, London, or Manchester with some travel to the other two locations. Our approach to hybrid working is still emergent but you should expect to be in the office averaging 2 to 3 days per week with home-working available for the remaining days.

Our team is looking for an experienced and adaptable Scrum Master, with a growth mind-set and a dedication to agile ways of working, working alongside a multi-skilled delivery team towards the realisation of value for customers and stakeholders. As a key member of our agile delivery community, you'll evolve our data capabilities whilst embracing the best industry standards.

About the role

As a scrum master, you'll operate at team level as a change agent with a passion for working with people and teams to help them reach their best and deliver their best for customers and the bank. Encouraging your team’s understanding of Agile frameworks, Transformation Principles and Practices, you'll support them to establish their ways of working, and to self-manage and continuously improve in delivering change and value

You'll make a real difference, through your commitment to scrum values and practices whilst remaining flexible and open to opportunities for your feature and component teams to improve workflow. Be innovating the epicentre of the digital revolution in Enterprise Data as we build on our journey to the cloud and enabling earlier value release for our customers. Driving down the total cost of ownership of our products, driving agile adoption and aligning to our sustainability aspirations.

You'll enable a number of feature and component teams in the lab to deliver the capabilities which will help us build the New Bank on Cloud while forging relationships with teams in the UK (London, Bristol, Manchester) and India.

About you... what skills, qualities, background are we looking for:

- Knowledge and understanding of Agile Frameworks (such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SaFE) and ability articulate the value and purpose of them.
- Experience of change delivery cycles.
- Knowledge and some experience of other techniques that support Agile working, such as Dev Ops, System Thinking, Queueing Theory, Complex Adaptive systems, Theory of Constraints / Critical Chain.
- Scrum Master Certification - PSM1 or equivalent.
