We are looking for a General Operator to join our established client based in Measham, Derbyshire. Working 39 hours per week, earning a salary of £26,850 per annum.

**About the role**

The General Operator will play an active part in the manufacturing process, to ensure all products manufactured, processed and despatched are of best quality, rejecting unsuitable products, whilst safely maintaining minimum downtime in order to ensure all products are delivered to their designated area in their correct position, to achieve both the process and customer requirements and current output and quality targets.

The role requires 100% proactive commitment to zero harm working.

**Responsibilities**
- to comply with all aspects of the Compliance Policies.
- to ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place
- to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation
- to update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
- to comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company
- Maintain Safety standards, Production Budgeted Output, Customer requirement, Quality and Yields within their sphere of influence.

**Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required**
- A minimum of 3 months (12 months for Hand Moulder) training from competent operator ensuring close supervision during the period, and a competency check procedure completed on all duties.
- An understanding of COSHH data, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
- An understanding of regulations including the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and your personal duties and responsibilities.
