**METAL WORKER**

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Blade Straightening**:

- Utilise fly presses and other equipment to straighten blades.
- **Surface Grinding**:

- Progress to operating surface grinding machines.
- Grind metal surfaces to specified dimensions and tolerances.
- **Cylindrical Grinding**:

- Learn and operate cylindrical grinding machines.
- Grind cylindrical surfaces to precise specifications.
- **General Metal Work: (as required)**
- Metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, welding, and shaping metal components.
- Maintain and repair metal structures, equipment, and machinery.
- **Machine Maintenance: (as required)**
- Maintain machinery as required or to a schedule.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent at using metalworking tools and machinery.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with surface grinding and cylindrical grinding operations is an advantage.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment

**Working Conditions**:The role involves working in an industrial environment, with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures. You should be comfortable working with industrial equipment and machinery, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

**Salary & Benefits**:

- Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
- 31 days holiday, including statutory days.

**Schedule**:

- Shift 40hr per week
- Mon-Thu 0600-1630 (30 min unpaid lunch)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
