The post will offer Monday - Friday social hours working pattern e.g. 9am to 5pm (to be discussed with supervisor)

Working within the acute hospital at home service where you will be expected to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues. You will be assisting colleagues with clinical decision making, prescribing medications, actioning test results, co-ordinating patient care, deciding treatment escalation plans, attending regular MDT meetings, preparation and attendance for M&M and governance meetings as well as much more.

Training in point of care ultrasound will be available and is encouraged.

Previous experience of acute medicine is required. Subject to discussion with supervisor, the role may involve activity in other acute and ambulatory medicine settings in the Trust

We would encourage the development of quality improvement projects, involvement in research, delivery of teaching and undertaking of leadership activities.

Point of care ultrasound
Training in point of care ultrasound will be available and participation in this training is encouraged.
Following the society of acute medicine FAMUS accreditation, opportunity to learn point of care
ultrasound and complete supervised and unsupervised scanning of patients.
Morbidity & Mortality Meeting
Patient deterioration and death may be unavoidable and expected within a patients care episode,
however, reviewing monthly data of patients who have experienced adverse outcomes in patient care
ensures analysis identifies any errors or omissions in patient care for continuous learning.
Quality Improvement Methodology and Training
a. Using OUH Quality Improvement toolkit
b. In-house QI development programme with support in project design, data, change
management and sustainability.
c. Engagement wider multidisciplinary team in QI work
d. Presentation of projects at the OUH QI forum
