Configuration Analyst

**Job Title: Asset and Configuration Analyst Work from Home**

**Location: Castle Donnington**

**Role Type: Fixed term**

**Length: 6 Months**

**Working: 8 Hour shifts**

**Salary: £23,715**

A fascinating position in a Global MSP. This Fixed term contract is ideal for someone with 3 to 5 years' experience. This a fully remote role presently due to the pandemic so a self-motivated individual is a requirement. You will be responsible for coordinatingwith the IT team. You will support effective control and operation of IT hardware and software, infrastructure and services through acquisition, operational use, change management and disposal.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Manage configuration of items and related information and documentation.
- Identify and catalogue configuration items including creating relationships between them representing their interdependencies in the Configuration Management Database.
- Investigate and implement techniques and processes for managing CIs and verifies that related information is complete, current, and accurate.
- Manage and maintains the service compliance of all IT and service assets in line with business and regulatory requirements:

- Manage and record asset related contracts and lease information including warranty and support.
- Report asset and configuration information, audit and reconcile the asset inventory and CMDB
- Control the Asset and Configuration Management information infrastructure providing education and support to the other IT teams on their own activities to update the CMDB

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Broad technical knowledge of several IT functions particularly the IT delivery and IT support processes
- Broad understanding of ITIL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle management

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Degree level educated or equivalent experience
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred
- Other European languages skills beneficial but not essential
