**Head of Legal (Employment Law)**
Brook Street are looking for a Head of Legal to join a growing team. This is a temporary position starting ASAP until end of March 2023 with a possibility of extension. We are looking for someone who can manage the day-to-day provision of legal services acrossEngland and Wales with emphasis on employment law

**Please note we are looking for someone to start immediately therefore you must be available immediately for work**

**What will you do as Head of Legal?**
- Lead employment litigation and liaise with other departments, external bodies, and subsidiary companies
- Supervise the work of employment lawyers and manage an appropriate legal caseload
- Ensure legal services are being delivered in accordance with internal and professional quality and diversity standards, with an emphasis on a consistent and cost-effective service
- Prepare and conduct cases, ensuring all cases and personnel are updated on current developments in case law and legislation
- Implement systems for regular reviewing and monitoring of the support, quality and volume of workload of legal officers
- Manage complaints ensuring swift resolution

**What type of skills/experience do I need to be considered for this role?**
- Law degree or equivalent
- Qualified solicitor, barrister, or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of employment law
- Leadership experience, responsibility for supporting business operations and strategic planning
- Project management experience
- Experience supervising casework and providing advice on all aspect of employment and regulatory law
- Excellent planning and prioritising skills
- Experience managing conflict, building, and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent IT skills
