**Kitchen Assistant**

At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for a kitchen assistant to work in one of our residential care facilities, Kings Lynn on a part time, 35h/pw, permanent basis, £12.00 per hour.

**The hours are as followed; 07:30am-17:30pm working every other weekend.**

Kings Lynn residential care home sits on Kettlewell Lane close to the centre of King’s Lynn in West Norfolk. The home provides short-term, respite care and longer term support for up to 41 residents, including people living with dementia.

**Responsibilities of a Kitchen Assistant**:

- Assist the Cook with unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom. Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock. Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed.
- Assist the Cook when required with washing, peeling, and preparing food ingredients and using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters.
- Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans and observing cooking times and correct temperatures.. (completing daily cleaning schedules/ documenting items cleaned)
- Assist in the preparation of meals, light snacks and drink in line with IDDSI requirements as needed (Full training provided)
