Pharmacy Production Specialist - Aseptics and Governance - Technical Services

Band 6

We are looking for a highly motivated Pharmacy Production Specialist to join our well established team in Technical Services. As a department we constantly strive to re-engineer our services to improve our delivery of patient focused pharmaceutical care and customer satisfaction.

The MHRA licenced ‘Specials’ pharmacy manufacturing unit is based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and is a modern purpose built unit within the hospital. The service encompasses aseptic, chemotherapy, over labelling and re-packaging products, supplying both the trust and external organisations.

As part of our senior team you will be expected to have recent relevant experience of working in a Pharmacy aseptic unit.

**This band 6 role includes**:

- Managing the Aseptic Service alongside the Production Managers in line with GMP
- Organisation and prioritisation of aseptic workflow
- Co-ordinate the technical services aspects of aseptic services
- Represent Pharmacy Technical Services at the Pharmacy Clinical Governance and Safe Medication Groups and undertake any required actions
- Along with the technical leads in each respective area investigate any Datix raised that concern Pharmacy Technical Services

To achieve this you will need excellent organisational, communication and digital skills with a high degree of attention to detail and you will need to be able to work effectively within a team.

Within the department we have an excellent relationship with other key professionals in order to maximise efficiency of the services provided. These include staff internal and external to pharmacy e.g. Trust Nutrition Team, paediatrics and cystic fibrosis multidisciplinary teams.

You will be supported in this role by an experienced team and actively encouraged to enrol on courses and study days to further your personal development. You will promote the service at Trust, Regional and National forums including posters at conferences and support wider projects and business development opportunities.
