Johnson Controls, through the use of authorized and approved suppliers carry out installation and service work for our customers on complex high value projects within the Global Marine & Navy (GM&N) - and Oil & Gas sectors. As a Buyer you will be working closely with the Senior Sourcing Manager for GM&N, EMEALA Category Managers and key local stakeholders in the Oil & Gas business unit to understand spend requirements, negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers to achieve both cost book and savings targets. Stakeholder management will be the key to success, and you will be expected to engage, obtain sponsorship and influence senior level stakeholders as well as you peers.

**How you will do it**
- Supporting the Procurement Manager and Senior Buyer to create and implement sourcing plans.
- Pre-bid support for major projects, inclusive of full tender management where appropriate
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate into a sourcing strategy
- Driving contract and category negotiations across the portfolio
- Supplier K.P.I and S.L.A management and taking ownership of supplier quarterly business review meetings.
- Relationship management and post-contract value creation
- Supporting the function to deliver the end-to-end procurement process; delivering cost savings, spend under management & driving innovation.
- Building & updating pipeline activity & tracking delivery against plans
- Support supplier management processes including supplier on boarding, performance evaluations and audits.
- Creation and delivery of RFXs activities where appropriate using eSourcing platforms to deliver best solution proposals to the business for sourcing decisions.

**What we look for**

We are looking for resilient and confident person who is an expert in stakeholders' management

**Required**
- 3 years’ experience in a Procurement Materials Buying role.
- Experience with creating, negotiating and implementing contracts.
- Experience leading tenders
- Experience in MS Office and Procurement processes including eProcurement suites.
- Demonstrated ability to manage internal stakeholders, external suppliers and working to very tight deadlines.
- Proven experience with gathering and analyzing data to drive category and supplier decision-making.
- Ability to negotiate under pressure.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work independently where necessary.
- Ability to work within defined processes.
- Experience working within a team to achieve both individual and common goals.

**Preferred**:

- Experience within the oil & gas, marine and/or construction industry
- Experience with sub-contracting
