**Office Angels are currently recruiting for a qualified, or aspiring Para-planner, to join our client who are based close to Metro Centre, Gateshead, on a permanent contract basis.**

- **Location: Gateshead, based in a modern and spacious environment**:

- **Salary: Circa £23,000 - £26,000, negotiable depending on experience**:

- **Hours: Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM, 1 hour unpaid lunch**:

- **Free on-site parking**:

- **Benefits: 25 days holiday with additional bank holidays on top, 5% employer pension contribution (3% employee), death in service, quarterly and annual bonus incentive based on business success as well as lots of team fun and social events**

As a Para-planner, you will be responsible for the delivery and ongoing maintenance of financial services para-planning duties. You will report directly to the Team Leader and your day-to-day duties will be to deliver accurate and comprehensive research,analysis and suitability reports, which will demonstrate a care for consumers and respect for the regulatory obligations of the firm.

The role will require you to work on your own initiative but also as part of the para-planning and wider team, where you should demonstrate personal responsibility, accuracy in the execution of your duties.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Undertake client portfolio research and provide comparative analysis to advisers
- First line telephone communication with advisers, scheme administrators and trustees
- Carry out detailed research and analysis in support of product/provider suitability
- Liaise with providers by telephone/correspondence in relation to new and existing business
- Scan and record client files to the back-office system in line with business standards
- Administer and generate business related correspondence to clients, product providers etc.
- Manage work-flow and diary entries to an efficient standard, in line with expectations
- Liaise with advisers and other staff members in respect of business and client related issues
- Provide typing support to senior managers and other regulated associates of Prism
- Maintain business records and ensure regular back up of data to protect business integrity
- Update and maintain standing data e.g. schedules, templates
- Construct and draft suitability letters on behalf of advisers
- Handle regulated duties in line with the business and regulatory requirements
- Maintain knowledge of business and regulated requirements
- Provide regular feedback to senior management in respect of the para-planning function
- Carry out peer reviews and quality control in line with company standards
- Maintain professional, smart business dress, appropriate to the organisation
- Ensure punctuality and time keeping in line with your contract of employment
- Any other duties as requested by senior management

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Word Processing and use of Microsoft Office suite
- Good standard of written & verbal communication
- Effective team player
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to manage own workload and be self-motivated
- Sound time management
- A respect for client confidentiality and an adherence to strict codes of professional conduct
- Back office and database management
