Responsible for the day to day running/management of specific projects and to advise senior management of any issues that arise. Responsible for effective communication between site operatives daily. Responsible for the procurement of materials and lean management of site operations. Responsible for ongoing manufacturing improvement processes. To assume responsibility for the draughting of specific projects and to advise on all levels of the construction process. To produce construction drawings and all relevant information to support the construction process. Responsible for implementing and maintaining drawing office records to a high standard

**Peripheral **Duties**
- Interact with organisational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
- Comply with the company management system requirements for quality and health and safety.
- Take reasonable care of own and others safety, co-operate with manager/supervisor in complying with statutory health & safety duties, to report incidents, accidents, faults etc.
- Participate in all training initiatives specific to the post holder’s duties.
- Undertake such other duties as maybe reasonably requested by senior management.

**Minimum **Requirements**
- 5 years draughting experience minimum.
- Experience using Tekla preferably with a metal fabrication environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a metal profile cutting/ fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D, and experience of Solidworks would be an advantage.
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise competently with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- A comprehensive knowledge of steel types and grades, their properties and uses.
- Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel)
- Experience in corresponding directly with clients, architects and engineers.

**Core **Responsibilities**
- Liaise with customers and establish their needs and requirements.
- Review customer’s drawings and identify special requirements or possible manufacturing concerns. Determine if the product aligns with our manufacturing capabilities and capacities.
- Create materials lists of all components and materials for jobs in production.
- Liaise with Operations Director/Manager and ensure all production information is handed over in a concise, organised and timeous manner.
- Provide technical advice and assistance to the production team to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and on time.
- Liaise with internal team members to resolve queries, advise on cost effective methods of manufacture, and expedite progress.
- Arrive to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.

**The **Package**
- Hourly Rate negotiable depending on experience
- 4 day working week Mon-Thurs 7am - 5.15pm (39hours)
- Overtime when required
