No 1 Stitcher Operator

Our client, one of the leading magazine printing companies in Europe, are seeking a No 1 Sticher Operator to manage the running of the stitcher to help produce magazines and other literacy products of the highest quality in Roche.

The role:
- Muller Martini - Prima/Tempo experience preferred
- Follow job bag instructions
- Set up machinery to produce job in line with job bag instructions
- Report maintenance problems to manager/engineering manager in line with quality systems
- Record any quality problems on problem logs whilst also communicating with the supervisor/manager
- Follow all checklists ensuring time stamps are taken at correct intervals
- Ensure all work is correctly labelled and quarantined procedures are adhered too
- Operate, set, adjust, and maintain the designated finishing lines to achieve optimum performance and output to meet production schedule and performance matrix
- Supply finishers or distributors with quality publications in a well-presented manner which optimises the onward transmission process
- Ensure all paperwork is accurately processed
- Ensure all housekeeping standards are met
- Ensure the company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are enforced and complied with by the complete crew
- Manage and support the complete operation in line with the manager/supervisors
- Driving Licence required
The hours
- 6pm - 6am (12-hour shifts)
- Average of 39 hours per week
- Work 3 shifts a week, with 13 extra shifts throughout the year
