Based at our Edinburgh, Newbridge site, the purpose of this role is to carry out driving & related duties involved with the carriage of goods within a defined geographical area. The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 07:00am to 5:00pm (although start/finish times can vary).

**Specific tasks include**:

- To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises
- Driving both Class 1 and Class 2 Vehicles.
- Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay.
- To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
- To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
- Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, & are operated in a safe manner.

**All About You**

**Essential Skills for the role**:

- To hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (with no more than 6 points).
- Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
- Knowledge of working time directive.
- Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution business.
- Understanding and experience of EHS requirements.
