The opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant at Band 4 level to work as part of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Teams. This post will support developments within the Community Resource Teams in Area West.

In addition, the post will involve close liaison and work with colleagues who focus on admission avoidance and discharge facilitation, as well as longer term rehabilitation and support the in-patient staff both on an out-reach and in-reach basis within the community rehab beds.

The post may involve 7 day working.

As a therapy assistant, the post holder will be responsible for providing clinical support to the qualified Therapists within the Community Resource teams.

Working under the supervision of the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff the post holder will undertake assessment and intervention with patients, within a protocol, and support home first activity preventing admission or accelerating discharge back to the community.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
