Pro-Coaching was founded in 2001. We are one of the leading suppliers of children's sports coaching in term time and during the holidays throughout the UK. **We have a range of temporary holiday opportunities throughout Somerset.**

We are looking for experienced and qualified **Sports Coaches/ Teachers**/**Teaching assistants **to deliver children's holiday courses over the Summer holidays at a wide range of locations. _**WE WILL ALSO CONSIDER STUDENTS WORKING TOWARDS GRADUATE LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS WITHIN THE SPORTS/EDUCATION SECTORS.**_

**Requirements**:
**You must be over 18 years of age.**

Educated to N.G.B level 2 or equivalent (sports degree, PGCE PE or NVQ) in relevant field (ie teaching, sports coaching etc). **Other equivalent qualifications (not sport specific) working with children maybe considered. **_**We will also consider applicants working towards these qualifications.**_

We offer very completive rates of pay. Coaching rates for holiday courses are from £12-£17ph dependent on skills, experience, qualifications and role.

Hours: between 08.30 - 15.00

**Salary**: £12-£17 per hour dependent on hours, role and experience

Expected start date: Summer Holidays July 2024 You must be able to work full weeks (Mon-Fri).

**PRO-COACHING ACTIVITY LEADER/TEACHER**

Roles and Responsibilities **Ensure children are kept safe at all times ** Read any coaching guidelines/briefings in full in advance **Follow all policies/procedures set out by Pro-Coaching ** Complete any training as requested (where reasonable) **Take charge and responsibility for the running of sessions ** Plan and prepare daily sports/enrichment activities **Direct assistants with delivery requirements ** Welcome/register children onto the sessions **Report daily with numbers of children in attendance ** Keep data safe and secure (e.g. registers) - including the use of electronic devices **Liaise with parents/carers in a friendly and professional manner ** Ensure all children are aware of any risks and the behaviour expected from them **Ensure children are aware of potential consequences if rules are not followed ** Ensure equipment is tidy, safe, and kept secure **Deliver any first aid (if designated during the sessions) and completing any follow up paperwork (copies sent to manager on the day) ** Assist in the provision of lunches/snacks. Following food hygiene procedures and having an awareness of any allergies/intolerances **Liaise with food providers on delivery drop times ** Assist with enrichment activities such as “make and take”, external visits, arts, and crafts etc. **Assist with changing where swimming is provided ** With the team, ensure all areas are left clean and tidy - including toilets and changing rooms **Report any issues of concern to your manager as soon as possible ** Report any safeguarding issues. **Either yourself, or by instruction to others (assistants) you must call any no shows ** You may be requested to perform any reasonable tasks not listed below by prior arrangement.
