Sheffield Park Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant with a Social, Emotional and Mental Health specialism to join our established SEND team.

We are seeking to recruit someone with a child centred approach and excellent people skills to support students with regards to their Social, Emotional & Mental Health. To carry out one-to-one and small group sessions with identified individuals who are struggling in SEMH or who have an EHCP for SEMH and require specific support/intervention to enable them to be successful in a mainstream setting. Experience of supporting students with SEND and/or complex learning needs would be advantageous for this role.

**We are looking for someone who**:

- Experience of working with students with SEND.
- The ability to work in partnership, communicating effectively with children, parents, staff and governors
- The ability to inspire and motivate children.
- Experience of a range of inclusive approaches which will allow children with additional needs to enable them to thrive and make progress.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills and work effectively as part of a team.
- Maths & English GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent.
- Hold a Teaching Assistant Qualification / willing to complete a Teaching Assistant Qualification.
